Creative Rights Caucus Announces Rep. Doug Collins as New Co-Chair

December 1, 2014

WASHINGTON, DC –Rep. Doug Collins (GA-9) will join Rep. Judy Chu (CA-27) as Co-chair of the Creative Rights Caucus. Rep. Collins replaced Rep. Howard Coble (NC-6) who retired at the end of the 113th Congress. Reps. Chu and Collins released the following statements:

"I am so happy to announce my new co-chair for the Creative Rights Caucus, Rep. Doug Collins," said Rep. Chu. "The creative industries employ millions of Americans and drive the economy in districts all across the country. Doug sees this impact and is committed to lifting up creators and engaging as many individuals and stakeholders as possible in protecting their rights. While it is hard to say goodbye to my friend and Chairman Howard Coble, I am excited for Doug to bring his energy and passion to the Creative Rights Caucus."

"Creative Rights in the 21st century should mean just as much to the college student as it does to the artist, the app developer, or the songwriter because creativity lies at the heart of economic potential and growth. The Creative Rights Caucus is going to make sure everyone from citizens to Members of Congress to the creators themselves appreciate and strengthen that relationship between individual talents and gifts and the America that is stronger as a result," said Rep. Collins.
