Copyright Basics for the 118th United States Congress
The Copyright Alliance, in conjunction with the Creative Rights Caucus, invites you to attend a discussion of Copyright Basics on Monday, March 27, from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. ET in Rayburn HOB, room #2044.
Copyright issues will be considered during this session of Congress, and this presentation will help prepare you when such matters inevitably come across your desk. This presentation will cover fundamental copyright concepts, including copyrightability, infringement, and fair use. It will also cover cutting-edge copyright issues, such as potential updates to the DMCA, the application of copyright to artificial intelligence, and a handful of copyright bills that may arise during the 118th Congress. The discussion will conclude with a Q&A session, so please feel free to bring your copyright questions.
